Lean Sigma Institute (LSI) was established in January 2004 by a group of Lean Six Sigma professionals with a great passion for Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Some of them are considered as pioneers or first wave of lean and six sigma practitioners closely associated with Motorola since 80s. LSI is one of the first consulting firms in Asia Pacific in championing lean six sigma program for non-manufacturing companies and also seamlessly to combine Lean Thinking from Toyota Production System and Six Sigma Quality from Motorola into an unique Lean Six Sigma DMAIC model.

Recognizing the differences, LSI treats each client as unique case and offers most effective improvement road map. Through our flagship packages such as Service Lean Sigma (Transactional), Lean Sigma X-Plan (Manufacturing) and Design Lean Sigma (Manufacturing), we help organizations to enhance their "Value Proposition" to both their customers and stakeholders.

The company is supported by another 4 full-time consultants and 2 part-time consultants. Our consultants either specialized in lean or six sigma or both skill sets. Most of us are closely associated with Motorola since 80s either as former staff or trainers or suppliers.

Our consultants are not the generic practitioners in lean six sigma, but they are specialized in certain skill sets. For example we have a dedicated consultant mastered in Shainin DOE. Most of our consultants have over 15 years (some of them over 30 years!) of working experience with the Fortune 500 multinationals before joining LSI.


2) Our consulting approach:

Since we positioned LSI as a consulting provider, only in-house service is rendered to companies in Asia Pacific region. Our team has helped Bayer Hong Kong in re-engineering their entire Hong Kong HQ into a world-class lean office in six-month period. Besides, our team is also actively engaged by a Fortune 500 company (The six sigma pioneer) since three years ago to implement lean manufacturing and lean R&D in their Asian plants.

We train, coach and guide the trainees to learn new knowledge and applied them immediately, meaning our consultant is actively involved in the improvement projects with the trainees. Lip service is not our expertise anyway.

The lean six sigma deployment plan is entirely depending on our client's needs. Usually our clients invest in a small pilot project first before commit to a company-wide full scale deployment.
